Some Post-Break Encouragement
Regardless of whether your spring break was a relaxing get-away or merely a slightly less busy catch-up week, school is back in session. You may be returning to campus refreshed, or you may still be struggling to get by, but either way you still have five more weeks of work ahead of you. So, with this in mind I want to encourage you with the words of Ps. 23:3, “He restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.” No matter how relaxing spring break might (or might not) have been, God restores, refreshes, and renews our souls in preparation for the good work he has prepared for us to do, guiding us as we go. That work is by no means easy, but with our being firmly grounded in God’s being and a cloud of family, friends, and faculty surrounding us, we can do that work and run the good race. As it says in Heb. 12:1b, “let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.” God has set the next five weeks before you; will you run this stretch of the race with perseverance?
