Top 5 Graduation DIY’s
As graduation fast approaches, I am excited for my senior friends, but am also sad to see them go. To celebrate their huge accomplishment I want to give gifts, but because of finals time is limited. Below I have created a list of the top five coolest, fastest, cheapest and easiest ways to give your friends and family members gifts for graduation, whether that be middle, high school or college. - “You can’t live on pizza alone… you also need a little dough.”
Procedure:
- Get a pizza box and $10+ in cash, including change.
- Print out the motto on paper and attach to box or simply hand write it.
- Add a cute, adhesive bow to the middle of the cash to make it stay in place.
- Add small pieces of tape to attach the coins to the “pizza.”

- Not Just a Box of Chocolates
Procedure:
- Buy chocolates and eat them. Save the small wrappers and the box.
- Get cash and change.
- Fold and insert the cash and coins into the wrappers in a cute stylish way.
- Wrap the lid in wrapping paper or decorate with stickers or markers.
Evaluation:
- Cost: Medium
- Time: 15 minutes, plus the time it takes you to eat all the chocolate

Procedure:
- Buy a mixed bag of snack size candy, curling ribbon and plastic wrap.
- Cut a long section (2-3 ft.) of plastic wrap.
- Lay out plastic wrap and place snack size candies in the center of the warp.
- Fold the outer edges of the wrap over each other to secure the candy in the middle.
- Cut six inch strands of curling ribbon.
- Every few inches tie a ribbon to create small “pockets” of candy.
- Curl the ribbon with scissors.

Procedure:
- Buy a poster-board, glue and a ton of candy.
- Create a fun, silly card (like above) by writing and inserting candy for words.

- Graduation Hat Candy Pops
Procedure:
- Buy a bag of mini Reeses candy, a few Hershey’s chocolate bars and a bag of M&M’s.
- Next buy a small tube of cookie icing, goodie bags and cake pop sticks.
- Flip the Reeses candies so that the smaller side is facing up and add a dab of icing.
- Break off a section of the Hershey’s bar with two pieces and add to the top of the icing.
- Using the icing, make a graduation cap chord and then place an M&M in the center.
- Push a cake pop stick through the bottom of the Reeses and place it in a goodie bag.
